The Furniture Construction Enterprise has been set up to achieve a couple of key objectives. The first objective is to provide interesting and valuable work for Indigenous people in which they can gain trade and business skills whilst producing a quality product. The second objective is to produce furniture that is affordable to local people and will suit their lifestyle and tastes.

To ensure the furniture is affordable to local people costs have been kept to a reasonable level and an instalment plan has been established to enable families to pay off items without incurring interest.

To find out costs and order furniture either give the workshop a call on (07) 4151 4699 or drop by the workshop and have a chat to James:

12 Massey St
East Bundaberg
ph: (07) 4151 4699

Another fantastic service offered to customers is the ability to customize. If there is a specific item you would like built or you would like one of the catalogue items altered to suit your needs drop by and chat to James. He will be more than happy to try and meet your requirements.

All furniture is stained and sealed to order so when you place your order you will be given the choice of a range of stains or finishes. Alternately the pieces can be left plain for you to complete at home.

Nursery

The BBRCDEP nursery is located at 12 Massey St, behind the BBRCDEP Furniture Workshop. The nursery is supervised by Rodney Blanco. Rodney is assisted by Paula Johnson and 2 other participants.

The Nursery's main aim is to grow indigenous plants common to bushland, and intends to open up a separate section for medicinal plants. The workers at the nursery will also be attending Bundaberg TAFE college to do studies in horticulture related to the medicinal aspect of the nursery.
